Interactive Enterprise Customers

IE is the leading global provider of broadband OSS service provisioning and activation software solutions to cable system operators worldwide.

IE has commercially deployed high-speed data, voice over IP, multiple ISP, and "triple-play" data, voice, and video provisioning and service activation solutions for over 30 MSO's in North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Conexon's global broadband footprint currently exceeds 16 million cable-enabled homes.

Interactive Enterprise Customer Advantages

Interactive Enterprise customers have consistently achieved returns on investment of less than 12 months from their deployment of Conexon. Our customers have repeatedly stated that IE:

  • Maintains a product and technical advantage over other available solutions.
  • Delivers on time, as promised, often within very tight timeframes.
  • Works in a highly collaborative manner as a true partner.
  • Minimizes the systems integration costs associated with any deployment.

Interactive Enterprise Customers

Interactive Enterprise has the largest customer base in the cable service activation market. Interactive Enterprise global deployments include Time Warner (US), Comporium (US), Iesy (Germany), Electrabel (Belgium), Kurashiki (Japan), iCABLE (Hong Kong) and StarHub (Singapore), among many others.

WildBlue Communications, US
WildBlue Communications has licensed the new wireless version of the Open Conexon platform for their upcoming launch of satellite broadband service planned for the second half of 2004. The licensing by WildBlue represents Interactive Enterprise's first major engagement among satellite broadband providers, showcasing Conexon's extreme flexibility.

Conexon will automate WildBlue's back office systems and applications to seamlessly provision equipment and services for WildBlue customers, an important component of the low-cost infrastructure WildBlue is building.

StarHub
With the merger in 2002 of a mobile wireless company (StarHub) and a cable company (Singapore Cablevision), StarHub is now Singapore's leading information communications and entertainment company, providing a full range of information, communications and entertainment services over fixed, mobile and Internet platforms. The company operates its own nationwide broadband network that delivers multi-channel cable TV services, data services, voice services and Internet access services. StarHub also operates its own GSM network that is fully upgraded for GPRS (General Packet Radio Service). For more information please visit StarHub at www.starhub.com.

The Conexon solution enables StarHub to automate the provisioning and activation of triple-play data, voice and video services from a single platform, which will help the company reduce its business and operational costs. (i.e., reducing the overall provisioning time from a matter of days to seconds with the automated Conexon solution).

The IE software embedded in the Motorola Advanced Provisioning System (MAPS) enables StarHub to automate the provisioning and activation of triple-play data, voice and video services from a single platform, managing services for almost 400,000 subscribers. StarHub can now leverage Conexon as a strategic platform to enable them to rapidly launch any type of broadband services to any device across any network. Voice, data and video applications are operational at StarHub in Singapore with a Nuera Communications switch.

i-CABLE Communications Limited
i-CABLE Communications Limited owns and operates one of Hong Kong's two near-universal telecommunications networks, provides Pay TV service, creates its own content that cater to local tastes, as well as offering broadband internet access service via its Internet Protocol (IP) overlay network. The company was incorporated under the laws of Hong Kong in May 1999 and is listed on both The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and the Nasdaq Stock Market in the U.S.

At i-CABLE, Conexon is deployed under the Motorola Advanced Provisioning System (MAPS) brand name. Supporting both high speed data and voice over IP (in trial) services, MAPS interfaces with IP Commander from Incognito Software for IP provisioning, as well as i-CABLE'S in-house billing system. i-CABLE also uses MAPS to manage and activate a comprehensive set of subscriber self-service options and prepaid services.

Time Warner Cable
Interactive Enterprise has partnered with many "best-of-breed" solutions to meet the requirements of our global customer base. One of the companies with which IE has an OEM agreement is C-COR.net. C-COR.net has deployed the IE solution in three Time Warner divisions - Tampa, Honolulu and San Diego, where the Conexon product performs the middleware role to proprietary Motorola CDLP modems and CMTSs' in C-COR's ISMS Service Assurance product offering.

Comporium Group
Comporium Communications has selected the Conexon platform for provisioning advanced broadband services to its subscribers. The Conexon solution will provide Comporium with numerous benefits including rapid deployment of new services, operational cost savings, and improved customer satisfaction.

Conexon's initial role at Comporium is to manage service provisioning for subscribers of residential high-speed data service. In this deployment, IE is interfacing with ADC's FastFlow HSD provisioning solution, as well as Comporium's internally developed billing system. Conexon's functionality can easily be extended through bolt-on adapters and additional business applications for the provisioning of other services, such as PacketCable voice and interactive video.

Eagle Communications
Eagle Communications has deployed Conexon Accel to automate the delivery of its high-speed data offering to subscribers. Based in Hays, Kansas, Eagle Communications offers its customers the choice of five tiers of services plus a future option of managing their own services on line.

Conexon Accel has enabled Eagle Communications to automate all of the processes associated with the activation of high-speed data services, has dramatically reduced their cost of deploying service while substantially increasing the rate at which they can add new customers. In addition Conexon Accel provides Eagle with the flexibility to automatically offer new tiers of services.

TeleCable
TeleCable started providing Cable TV services in 1995 in the Asturias region of Spain. In 1999, TeleCable launched fully integrated data and telephony services as well in its franchise areas of Oviedo, Gijon and Aviles, targeting a total of 300,000 homes. Since then, TeleCable has reached approximately 250,000 homes, currently providing bundled television, data and telephony services to 70,000 residential and enterprise customers with a significant ratio of 2.6 services per user. For more information please visit TeleCable at www.telecable.es

Telecable has deployed MAPS to support it's IP-based services (high speed data and voice over IP), using MAPS to manage a variety of service variants and tiers offered to it's large and rapidly-growing multi-service subscriber base.

Motorola MAPS, Global Customers
MAPS for High Speed Data (Conexon Accel) is used by an numerous customers globally, including the US. These operators have each initially elected to use the "out of the box" MAPS features and Graphical User Interface (GUI), and are gradually moving towards more integrated (with billing) and customized environments as their subscriber bases and service sophistication increase.
