Interactive Enterprise and GLDS Automate at Cable TV of Aruba.
(Orlando, FL – June 19th, 2007) – The Interactive Enterprise, Ltd. (IE) and Great Lakes Data Systems, Inc. (GLDS) are pleased to announce that the companies have collaborated to provide Cable TV of Aruba, N.V. with a flow-through service management solution to support the launch of broadband services across its network of 15,000 subscribers. Using a combination of GLDS’ WinCable® subscriber management and billing solution and IE’s Conexon service management solution, (part of the Motorola Advanced Provisioning System - MAPS), Cable TV Aruba can now activate, deactivate and charge broadband services from one central point, enabling it to deliver services much more quickly and cost-effectively.
“Cable TV Aruba is focused on increasing revenues while reducing operational costs and streamlining business processes. Cable TV Aruba is constantly looking for new ways to optimize the customer experience.” said Raul Ponson, Manager Technical Affairs at Cable TV of Aruba. “Having an integrated, flow-through subscriber/service management solution that will automatically activate and manage services through one central point is key to achieving those objectives. Not only does a flow-through provisioning solution eliminate duplicate and manual process, it enables Cable TV Aruba manage the customer relationship much more tightly and efficiently.”
A long-time GLDS partner, Interactive Enterprise used GLDS’ Service Provisioning (SPG) Gateway to facilitate the integration. Designed to provide advanced service management, SPG enables activation of advanced services via third-party Service Provisioning platforms. The interface passes vital subscriber and service-related data to the provisioning system, which uses it to configure all elements involved in the delivery of service to the end subscriber. The result is single-entry provisioning — directly from the billing system.
“We are delighted Cable TV of Aruba has decided to work with GLDS and Interactive Enterprise in helping launch and manage its broadband service offering,” said Paul McBride, CEO, Interactive Enterprise. “With the combined IE and GLDS solution, we are confident Cable TV of Aruba will reap significant cost-savings and efficiencies as it continuously grows its service offering.”
